17 • Processing and creating substrates
17.7 Exporting substrates
1. Click on Substrates in the Database menu.
2. Click on the substrate you want to export in the Database:
Substrates window.
If you want to export several substrates together, hold the CTRL key
down and then click on the substrates to be exported. When exported,
they will be written to the same fi le.
3. Click on Export. The Export to fi le window appears.
In the Filename eld, there will be a suggested designation, consisting of
the fi rst characters of the substrate designation and the fi le type or cfx.
4. Select the drive and the directory to which the fi le will be written.
5. Click on OK. The data will be converted into ASCII format
and written to the relevant fi le.
17.8 Importing substrates
1. Click on Substrates in the Database menu.
2. Click on Import. The Import from fi le window appears.
3. Select the drive and the directory from which you want to import
the le.
The directory selected will display all *.ifpx and *.ifp les.
4. Select the fi le to be imported.
5. Click on OK. The Confi rm import window appears.
6. Confi rm the import by clicking on OK. The name of the imported
substrate appears in the list in the Database: substrates window.
