Instrument Controls

The instrument controls are used to navigate the screen, configure options, and perform

measurements.

Navigation Ring

The navigation ring is used to move the focus of the highlight around the screen. Pressing on the

left side of the ring moves the focus to the next available control to the left. Pressing on the right

side of the ring moves the focus to the next available control to the right. The up and down sides

of the ring perform the same function, only in an up and down direction.

Select Button

The Select button activates the control that has focus, such as a mode or option.

Left and Right Measure Buttons

The PlateScope instrument provides two measure buttons to allow easy operation for a right-

handed or left-handed user. During operation, the first press of the Measure button puts the

instrument in targeting mode and the second press takes the measurement. The instrument

automatically advances to Spot targeting mode when a Measure button is pressed at the main

display screen.
